1. What ad did you find most entertaining,
and why? (You should be specific and give details here – what was the product
and what about the ad made it so entertaining to you?)
The ad I found most entertaining was the Kevin Heart, First Date Hyundai commercial, for the car finder. I found it entertaining, because, Kevin Heart following the guy around combined with the music, made the ad really funny and enjoyable.
2. What commercial did you find the most
dull/boring, and why?
The ad that I found most boring was the Audi R8 commander commercial. I found this to be the most boring simply, because it failed to hold my complete attention, it wasn't funny nor did it show something weird or crazy to catch my attention so i mostly ignored it.
3. What about your favorite ad made it most
effective?
The music, along with the humor of the ad made it most effective. Kevin Heart following his daughter and her date around and freaking the guy out made me laugh and enjoy the ad, making it entertaining to me.
4. What about your least favorite ad made
it ineffective?
The beginning of the ad starts out with an someone talking and showing pictures of astronauts, and although i paid attention it was only halfway and one the spaceship countdown i turned my attention mostly away, mostly because of my personal opinion in disliking astronaut movies and the countdown reminded me of them. Don't get me wrong! The ad was sad and emotional, however to me it just wasn't entertaining.
5. Did either of your commercials (favorite
or least favorite) feature any famous people?
Do you think that helped? Why or
why not?
Yes the Hyundai commercial featured Kevin Heart and Hardy Nintendo(although I only found out about her from the comments) . This helped, because as soon as I saw Kevin Heart my response was automatically like 'is that Kevin Heart? What is he doing in the commercial? and is it going to be funny?' thus furthering my amount of attention that I gave it.
The Audi commercial also featured Ryan Reynolds, but to be honest I didn't even notice him until the third time watching it. It also featured David Bowie's "Starman" , but the only reason i know what song it was, was because I scrolled down to the comment section on youtube and a lot of people were talking about it. Therefore, at least for me, the featuring of the famous people were ineffective.

6. What design elements or principles (lines, shapes, texture, color/color scheme, space, balance, contrast, etc.) were used in each commercial? Provide at least two (2) and explain. What affect did they have on the successfulness of the ads?
In the Hyundai commercial they used Negative spacing, giving you more focus on the people in the ad. they also used texture as there were people and scenes that looked as if you could touch them.In the Audi commercial they used more positive spacing, filling up the screen with close up of the car and tings such as that. They also, like the Hyundai commercial used texture with it looking as if you could reach out and touch what was portrayed in the ad.
